History:
The clan was founded during the Close Beta Test of Scions of Fate way back January 2007. It was then a mixed of Singaporeans, Filipinos, Americans and people from other Asian Countries. The first Lotus master was Phr0z3n.
When Level Up! announced that they will be bringing Perfect World into the Philippine shores, most of the Filipino members opted to sign for its Closed Beta test. Since IP restriction would not allow international members to play the game, (including the then Grandmaster, Phr0z3n, who is a Singaporean), Ecchi became the master of the Lotus clan during the closed beta and the early parts of open beta. Egwene took over when Ecchi had to quit for a while due to real life responsibilities.
Lotus was part of the First Battle for the Jade Nightingale (Dragon Server Eliminations) along with Holy Order, Trinity and Zodiac.
Syuveil became the master of the clan after Egwene, but have to give up the game to concentrate on his job, so the mastership was handed down to Mahado.
Lotus has been a consistent participant at both In game and Real life events sponsored by Level Up!, such as Phoenix Council Wars Server Eliminations of 2008 and 2009, several Dynasty Wars Leg (2008 and 2009), the National Level Up! Film Festivals.

Where did you get your Clan's name from?
Most of the founders of clan are from Eastern Asia, so they all agreed to name the clan after the Lotus plant. (not the Battle Realm's clan)
The Principle behind the name, it summarizes what we represent, and the basis for our in game values.
The Path of Life
The lotus represents the path of life as it emerges from the mud, grows clean and pure through the water, and produces a beautiful lotus flower.
It signifies that even the dirtiest water will not cling to the Lotus.
That the lotus flower can stand tall in the water can be attributed to the strength of the lotus stem—a powerful analogy to the strength of one’s beliefs.
The leaves of the lotus flower are resistant to water. Like water droplets that fall off the lotus leaf, the soul can be touched by material temptations but must remain untainted. And it is important, that existence be rooted in the world, in order to experience the reality of suffering. And thereby, do something about it.
The blooming of the lotus flower is also symbolic. The flower, as a closed bloom, is like the human heart. When enlightened, it blossoms.
The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again. Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind.
"No matter where it takes root, it shall rise above all... that's the will of the Lotus."
The lotus has its roots in earthly mud, but as it grows upward in aspiration toward the light, its petals open out in a beautiful flower.
How do you wish your clan to be known by the community?
A friendly clan that plays for fun, with some degree of organization, and has friendships that transcend beyond the realms of online gaming.
What makes your clan unique?
Being named after a flower which embodies all our principles, Lotus is not just a "name", it is symbolic of who we are, what we are, and why we follow certain rules and codes of conduct.
How does your clan plan to help other players?
We have currently have 3 Clans (1 main 2 extensions) in the game, Lotus (Red logo) is our main clan, whilst LOTUS (Blue Logo) and LoTuS (Green Logo) are the extensions and are home to most of these newbies/lowbies. Here, we ensure that they are helped in every aspect of the game, from questing, boss quests, hunts, as well as entertain their question that pertains to anything about the game, thereby, creating a positive experience for them, encouraging them to continue playing the game. We give priority to building a good gaming relationship within the clan and with the rest of the community that is why we discourage trashtalking specially on World Chat, as well as any other forms of profanity against other players.
Also, we share any valuable information we learn in game so that they can be published in sites such as Janelh's and other Perfect World Blogs, for others to read as well.
So far, what do you consider to be your clan's accomplishments?
- During closed beta, along with Holy Order of the Light, we were the first to try out the Territorial Wars feature of Perfect World.
- Our clan members also played a part in the introduction of Perfect World Philippines to Philippine gamers by volunteering to as mentors on free plays conducted at various cafes around the country and during its Commercial Launch.
- Being able to survive this long in the game (from Close beta till now) could be considered an accomplishment as well, since most of our contemporaries from Closed beta have either moved out of the game or merged with other clans.
- Dynasty Wars 2008 Davao Leg Champion (Dragon Server)
- Bagging the 2nd place (Specter's video) and 3rd place (Ecchi's video) respectively, at the Kelevra Video Making Contest
- Consistent finalist at the Level Up! National Film Festival (2008 - Rise of the Gaming God, and 2009 - United We Play)
Although, what we consider to be the biggest accomplishment is something that goes beyond what is measurable. It is heartwarming to know that Lotus, was among those that inspired the creators of Just Perfect (janelh.wikidot.com) to put up such a site, which is very useful to all players.
Do you have any events/activities in-world? What are they?
We have activities/events that we coincide with the upcoming time of the year, Like Valentine's day event, Summer Events, Halloween Events, Christmas Party (In Game Version), 6 on 6 Tournaments, Duel Tournaments, Race Around Perfect World, Fastest Poncho.
Do you have any events/activities in real life? What are they?
We usually have EBs = swimming during the summer, Anniversary EB (during end of May), Mid-Year Ebs, LU Live EBs, Christmas EB, Mini-EBs during tournaments such as Dynasty Wars.
We also have "Game nights" where some of us would spend the whole night together in a cafe (before Warzone, now Mineski Infinity) playing PW and eating sisig.
Guys in the clan have this semi-regular "Boys Night Out" before, which was put on hold at the moment due to protests from their respective girlfriends, who are also members of the clan.
Getting clan members to do Sports activities together, like badminton, tennis, basketball etc... are in the works.
We've also been Running together in Marathons, which all started out with 3 members accidentally bumping into each other at Milo Marathon last year, it eventually grew and we have a headcount of 15 at the Globe Run for Home last March 21st.
What are your clan's plan for the future?
Continue playing the game, as well as introduce Perfect World to others who haven't tried the game yet. We will also be preparing for the Rise of the Tideborns. And of course, improve and strengthen member ties via other creative activities in game and real life.
Any messages from your clan for the Heroes of the Perfect World?
Play the game and don't let the game play you. Each player has their own definition of what "having fun" in game means, it can vary from chatting, PVP, Player Kill, etc... it's all a matter of respect. Greed, envy, bitterness and hatred will get you nowhere, it'll only consume you and cloud your better judgment. Don't be all too emotional, as this is just a game, your life don't really depend on it, at the end of the day, we still have a "real world" to live by.
On a lighter note, Summer is a time for fun, and Perfect World is best played with friends, so hatakin na ang barkada, at i-enjoy ang Sama-Summer Saya sa Perfect World.
